A one hour class to learn ways to create resilience in your body and mind during these times.
In our current world we often move through life feeling stressed and overwhelmed—disconnected from our bodies and caught in patterns of tension.
Embodied movement offers a way to slow down, listen deeply, and cultivate an intimate awareness of the body’s natural wisdom.
By shifting the rhythm of your breath, practicing body awareness, and exploring movement in a way that feels nourishing, you’ll learn how to support your vagus nerve—a large, important nerve that extends from your brain down through the entire body.
The vagus nerve helps you access a parasympathetic state where you can meet life’s challenges with more resilience and calm.
There are things you can do that support your vagus nerve and your body’s ability to move between states of rest, activation, and resilience.
Through gentle movement, guided exercises and breath, you will:
- Release tension and habitual holding patterns
- Develop a deeper mind-body connection
- Enhance fluidity in the body
- Connect with your body’s wisdom for healing and calming
- Learn tools to shift your state
This 45 minute class is accessible to all levels—whether you are new to somatic movement or have prior experience with body-based practices such as yoga or mindfulness.
Move, breathe, and find ways to regulate yourself in these times.
What can you expect:
- Felice will share about the vagus nerve - what is it, how can you work with it to feel more calm, and the benefits of connecting with this important nerve!
- A yoga, movement and breathing practice as well as learning other techniques that support the vagus nerve.
- Opportunities for questions
